Ever thought of golfing on the Lleyn Peninsula? From our cottage rental accommodation in Wales, we have four public golf clubs and a golfing driving range within 15 mins drive - offering some of the best golfing destinations in the UK.

All the local golf courses are suited for all players of all abilities, providing enjoyable golf holidays for men and women alike! With stunning views from every tee - some of the golf courses have even played host to national and international tournaments.

The Golf Club houses offer excellent catering - from a light snack to a more substantial meal - all with a warm and friendly service, with bars being open most days. The Golf Clubs shops sell quality golfing equipment, with many a last minute golfing accessory! Golf lessons - either as a tuition package or single lessons can be arranged on the putting green or on the course itself.

Certainly, no golfing destination to Snowdonia is complete without visiting our golfing clubs here on the Lleyn! We can't guarantee the weather in the UK, but the quality of the courses we have on offer on the peninsula will soon make up for it!

Abersoch Golf Club

Located 15 mins drive from our holiday cottage in Wales, is Abersoch Golfing Club which offers 18 hole golfing of links and parkland in 60 acres of grounds. Recently voted No.5 course in the UK in Today's Golfer Magazine- it was firstly designed by Harry Varden in 1907 and the original 9 hole golfing links course opened in 1908. Today it offers full 18 holes of links and parkland golf that is open all days of the year. Off the white tees the course extends over a challenging 5671 yds (par 69), 5298 (par 68) off the yellows and a 4963 (par 71) off the red, ladies tees.

Pwllheli Golf Club

Located in the market town of Pwllheli, this half parkland, half links Championship course was designed by Tom Morris of Hoylake and opened in 1900. Having been named as 1 of 7 Welsh Golf Courses in the Top 200 Courses in Britain, it has superb views of the sea towards Cardigan Bay. It has 9 golfing holes being gentle parkland and 9 holes being a true test of links golf. The course measures 6,108 yards par 69 with a SSS of 70 for the men and 5,224 yards par and SSS of 71 for the ladies. Being a flat course, it is ideally suited for golfers of all ages and abilities.

 Nefyn and District Golf Club.

Home of the Ryder Cup in 2006, and formed in 1907, this golf club is perched on the cliff tops near the Lifeboat Station at Porthdinllaen, and boasts the fact that you can see the sea from every tee on the course. It was converted from a 9 hole golfing course to 18 holes in 1912, and a further 9 holes were added in 1933 - making it a 27 hole golfing course. The course now consists of a front 10 holes and two distinctly different back 8 holes. The "Old Course" is a Par 70/71, measures 6138 yards, with a SSS of 71, and the "New Course" is a Par 71, measures 6548 yards (White Tees), with a SSS of 71.

Lleyn Golfing Driving Range

As well as being a 9 Hole Golf course, (again within 15 mins of our self-catering properties), the Lleyn Golf Club near Penyberth , Penrhos is a also a golf drivng range. With a 15 bay floodlit area with all weather astro turf,practice bunker and chipping green, it offers the perfect place for the golfer to help improve their golfing skills. Incidentally - it is also the home of the Wakestock music festival.
